Overnight joint leader Lisa Holm Sorensen from Denmark maintained her position at the head of the field with a three-under-par final round of 69 for a 13-under-par total of 203 and a two-stroke victory in the Telkom Women’s Classic at Zwartkop Country Club, Johannesburg.
She also topped the Ladies African Tour 2008 Order of Merit.
Sorensen was delighted with the overnight rain which softened up the course.
“Yes we had rain all night – it was perfect. I must say I did enjoy playing in some European weather today!” said an elated Sorensen.
She had birdies at the second, fourth, seventh, 11th and 15th and bogeys at the 10th and 18th.

“My goal at the start of the Tour was to be the winner of the Order of Merit, so today’s win was in my plan,” said Sorensen who takes home just under 100,000 Rand for her achievements.
Sorensen leaves for Europe on Sunday to spend some well-earned time with her family, before commencing training for the European Team Cup at Alicante, Spain where she will team up with Iben Tinning.
Sweden's Maria Boden slipped past Denmark's Julie Tvede with a final round of 69 to finish second on 11-under-par 205.
Tvede slipped back to a level par closing round of 72 for third place on 206.
