LEVEN LADY HAS LOWEST NET SCORE
IN LGU MEDAL EAST DIV FINAL


Leven player Dianne Watson, playing off six of a handicap, had the lowest net score of 70 in today's Ladies Golf Union Medal East Division final at Balbirnie Park Golf Club.
Dianne finished topped the Silver Division returns by a shot from Susan Jackson (Elmwood) and Isobel Davidson (Niddry Castle).
Susan, playing off three, earned the runner-up prize with a better inward half than Isobel who has 16 of a handicap.
Susan Jackson, however, is unavailable for the LGU Medal Grand Final at Crieff Golf club on Sunday, June 8 and fourth-placed Nancy MacFarlane (Bonnybridge) will take her p0lace.
The qualifiers for Crieff were:
Silver Division - Dianne Watson (Leven), Isobel Davidson (Niddry Castle), Nancy MacFarlane (Bonnybridge).
Bronze Division - Lorna White (Royal Musselburgh), Irene Stuart (Aberdour), Sheila Blackwood (Glen).
Leading returns:
CSS 73.
Silver Division - Dianne Watson (Leven) (6) 70; Susan Jackson (Elmwood) (3) (better inward half), Isobel Davidson (Niddry Castle) (16) 71; Nancy MacFarlane (Bonnybridge) (18) 72 (bih).
