County championship qualifier at Grangemouth

Margaret Tough for Stirling's

No 1 seed spot

Alison Davidson (Stirling) was the leading qualifier for the match-play stages of the Stirling & Clackmannan women's county championship at Grangemouth Golf Club.

The former Curtis Cup player, pictured right, had a round of 76, the same score as senior Margaret Tough (Falkirk).

Alison had the better inward half to gain the No 1 seed berth.

The LGU SSS for the course is 72 and this went up to a CSS of 75.

Match-play rounds are on Sunday at 2pm; Monday, May 5 at 5pm , Wednesday,May 7 at 5.30pm. The Final will tee off at 5.30pm on Friday, May 9 at 5.30pm .
