VIKKI STEVENSON BEATS NO 2 SEED
MARGARET TOUGH AT 20th

Vikki Stevenson (Stirling), 10th of the 16 qualifiers, produced an upset victory over the No 2 seed, Margaret Tough (Falkirk) in this evening's (Monday) quarter-finals of the Stirling & Clackmannan women's county golf championship at Grangemouth.
Trailing for most of the way, Margaret, who lost in last year's final, squared the tie by winning the 15th and repeated the process at the 18th after Vikki had gone ahead again at the 16th.
Vikki won through at the 20th to a Wednesday night semi-final against Linda Allan (Falkirk Tryst), 4 and 2 winner over Jill Harrison (Linlithgow).
Vikki was beaten finalist in 2006.
Top seed and title-holder Alison Davidson (Stirling) beat Lesley Gibb (West Lothian) 4 and 3 and plays Louise McGregor (Falkirk), a 4 and 2 winner over clubmate Aileen Jenkins.
