Carly Booth, Eilidh Briggs, Jack Scott.
Andrew McLachlan will represent
Scotland in Euro Young Masters

Although there has been no official announcement by either the Scottish Ladies Golfing Association or the Scottish Golf Union, according to The Press and Journal today, Scotland will be represented by Carly Booth (Comrie) and Eilidh Briggs (Kilmacolm), pictured right by Cal Carson Golf Agency (all rights reserved), in the girls' section of the European Young Masters at Chantilly, France from July 24 to 26.
The boys who will wear Scotland's colours in the annual event for the top Under-16 year old golfers in Europe are Jack Scott (Deeside) and Andrew McLachlan (Bonnyton).
Carly won the European Under-16 girls' title last year when she also won the Scottish Under-21 girls stroke-play championship by something like seven strokes over three rounds at Auchterarder.
In next week's R&A Junior Open, also for Under-16s, Scotland's representatives, nominated by the SGU and the SLGA, will be Paul McPhee (King James VI) and Annabel Niven (Crieff).
Unfortunately for Miss Booth, the Scottish Under-21 tournament this year ends at Powfoot on the day the European Young Masters tees off in France, so there was no way she could defend both titles. Which is a pity.
