Tara wins Curragh Scratch

Cup by four shots

Former Curtis Cup player Tara Delaney, the +3 player from Carlow, won the Curragh Scratch Cup, sponsored by the Bank of Ireland, by four shots.

Tara, pictured right by Cal Carson Golf Agency, had rounds of 70 and 71 for a three-under-par total of 141.

Runner-up was Maura Morrin, playing over her home course with scores of 73 and 72 for 145.

One of the most intriguing totals of the day was achieved by Barbara Kelly of Stackstown. She scored 92 and 71 for 163 - an improvement of 21 shots between rounds.
