Dullatur ladies' club
championship
hat-trick by
Jill Meldrum

Jill Meldrum has become Dullatur Golf Club ladies champion for the third year running after being the youngest winner in 2005.
Despite having played very little golf due to exam commitments, Jill was also runner-up in the D & A championship this year after being the youngest title-winner in the 98-year history of the tournament in 2007.
She finished second top Scot in the Under-16s at Craigielaw, third on count back in the Scottish schoolgirls', first Under-18 at the Munross Trophy and qualified fourth in the recent Scottish Under-18s championship at Alyth where she was knocked out in the quarter-finals at the 19th hole.
She shot three sub-80 scores in the Scottish Under-21s championship at Powfoot.
After a disappointing first round in the British girls championship at Monifieth, running up a triple bogey at the first hole, she achieved level par round in the very poor afternoon conditions.
To gain experience she has been playing in the British women's amateur stroke-play championship at Malone Golf Club, Northern Ireland this week.
After a poor first round, she played to her handicap in the second round.
Jill has reduced her handicap from five to three and has been selected for a second time to represent Scottish schoolgirls against English schoolgirls at Royal Lytham next month.
