Marshall siblings win Scottish
mixed title at Duddingston

Stephen and Karen Marshall, a brother and sister partnership from Baberton Golf Club, Edinburgh won the Scottish mixed foursomes championship by two shots from a field of more than 40 couples at Duddingston Golf Club, Edinburgh today.
Host club member Iain Stavert and Louise Fraser (Kingsknowe) were runners-up with
a 75.
Three pairs finished on 77 - former Scotland international Bryan Fotheringham (Forres) and new Scottish policewoman's title-winner Donna MacLeod (Inverness), Ian and Lorraine Campbell (Cardross), and Graham Allan (Cardross) and former Scotland cap Claire Hargan (Mortonhall).
Fotheringham and MacLeod were placed third with the best inward half and the Campells shaded Allan and Hargan for fourth place, again with a better inward half.
Robert Denholm (Duddingston) and Davina Gillies (Musselburgh), playing off a handicap of 16, won the leading handicap prize with a net score of 70 - 3 1/2 strokes ahead of runners-up Peter Braid (Duddingston) and Heather Braid (Musselburgh), playing off 11 1/2.
