Runner-up Carley Warrington
helps Belmont Abbey win
team event in North Carolina
Carley Warrington from Bradwell, Derbyshire, a student at Belmont Abbey College, North Carolina, finished joint second and Belmont Abbey College won the team event at the Patsy Rendleman Invitational women's college tournament at the Country Club of Salisbury, North Carolina.
Carley (pictured right) scored 78 and 74 for a total of 152 over the par-72, 5,983yd course. She finished six shots behind the winner, Franziska Blum (Newberry), who had a pair of 73s for 146.
Charlene Reid (Pfeiffer) from Northern Ireland came ninth equal with 76 and 80 for 156 in a field of 61 players.
Belmont Abbey (616) won the team event ahead of Pfeiffer (635) and Newberry (641) in a field of 11 teams.
