VIKKI LAING BACK ON
TARGET TO MAKE THE
LPGA FINAL Q SCHOOL

Vikki Laing is back on target to qualify for the LPGA Tour Final Qualifying School at Daytona Beach, Floria from December 1 to 7.
The 27-year-old former star amateur, who has struggled to find a consistency of form as a tour pro, has put together rounds of 73 and 69 for a two-under-par tally of 142 at the halfway stage of the last regional qualifying competition at Plantation Golf & Country Club, Venice in Florida.
Only the leading 30 and ties at the end of the fourth round will complete the field for the Final Q School.
Joint 35th after the first round, Vikki zoomed up to tied 11th in a field of close on 130 which was reduced to leading 70 and ties after 36 holes.
Former British amateur champion at Lindrick, Spaniard Elisa Serramia survived the first qualifying hurdle with 71 and 77 for 148 but she dropped from joint 11th to joint 46th with her five-over-par second round.
Among the failures was former English amateur champion and past Curtis Cup player Kiran Matharu (pictured above). She scored 82 and 78 for 160 for a share of 124th place.
