OF STUDENTS' GOLF AT BLAIRGOWRIE

A combination of snow and frost forced the cancellation of the second day's play in the Scottish Universities Order of Merit stroke-play golf tournament at Blairgowrie today.
First round leaders John Corke (St Andrews) with a six-under-par 66 over the Rosemount course in the men's event and Jane Turner (Robert Gordon University), who led with a 76 in the women's section, were declared the winners.
The next competition is over the Dundonald Links in March.
