Anna Scott's 4th place helps Georgia

State win Qdoba team title

English students Anna Scott (Georgia State University) and Laura Jones (Oklahoma City University) finished joint fourth and 16th respectively in the Qdoba Invitational women's college tournament at Don Shula's Golf Resort, Miami Lakes in Florida.

Anna, pictured above, from Consett, Co Durham scored 71, 76 and 76 for a seven-over-par total of 223, finishing five shots behind the winner, Cindy LaCrosse (Louisville), who shot 74, 72 and 72 for 218.

Laura, a Royal Liverpool GC member from Cheshire, had scores of 73, 77 and 77 for 227.

Anna Scott's performance helped Georgia State win the team event with a total of 891, nine shots ahead of runners-up Tulane with Louisville (901) third in a field of 14 teams.
