David McGregor finishes joint fourth in
Coker College Spring Invitational
Helensburgh´s David McGregor, son of the former famous Scottish swimmer Bobby McGregor, finished joint fourth in a field of 43 for the Coker College Spring Invitational, the first tournament of the year for the Scot who is a student at Post University, Connecticut.
McGregor saddled himself with an opening round of 77 over the par 72 course which measured just over 7,000yds. He came back strongly on the second day with a sub-par 72 but a total of 148 left him six shots behind the winner, Matthew Hatcher (St Edwards who scored 74 and 68.
