KATY TOPS FOR LOSING LYNN

Carnoustie's 21-year-old Katy McNicoll, a final-year student at Lynn University, Boca Raton in Florida, top-scored for her college team but they lost a one-round stroke-play match at home to Harvard University at the weekend.
Katy, with a 78 on a very windy day, came fourth individually behind three Harvard players, Claire Sheldon, Christine Cho and Emily Balmert who scored 75, 76 and 77 over the Boca Woods Country Club's par-72 course of 6050yd.
With the best four scores to count for the team total, Harvard beat Lynn 309 to 325.
