Welsh women's amateur champion Kristy O'Connor (Ball State University, Indiana) from Burnley finished runner-up and Hannah Coles (Radford University, Virginia) from Maxstoke Park, Warwickshire came joint fifth in a field of 87 players for the El Diablo Intercollegiate women's tournament at El Diablo Golf & Country Club, Citrus Springs, Florida.

Over a par-72 course of 5,902 yards the title was won by Thailand student P Phol-uaypurn (Florida Atlantic University) by the runaway margin of 10 strokes with rounds of 68, 71 and 74 for a fine three under par aggregate of 213.
Kirsty O'Connor scored 77, 69 and 77 for seven-over-par 223.
Hannah Coles had rounds of 75, 78 and 73 for 226.
Also in the top 15 was Andrew Downer (Murray State University, Kentuckyt) from Bramley, Surrey with scores of 80, 81 and 75 for a share of 14th place on 236.
Kirsty O'Connor's effort helpd Ball State (Indiana) win the team title by 13 shots from Florida Atlantic and James Madison who both totalled 927 in a field of 15 teams.
