Well done, Kirsty for her lowest

score so far for Mississippi

Congratulations to Surrey county team player Kirsty Rands, now a freshman student at the University of Mississippi for returning her lowest score so far on the United States women's college golf circuit.
After rounds of 81 and 83, Kristy returned an 75 over the par-72, 6,424yd course at the University Club, Baton Rouge, Louisiana in the Louisiana State University Classic.
Kristy, pictured, did not have any birdies in her final round but she stemmed the flow of bogeys to shots dropped only at the first, third and fourth.
She finished tied 91st in a field of 96.
There was a three-way tie for the top spot between Calle Nielsen (Virginia), Lucy Nunn (Arkansas) and Belgium's Benedicte Toumpsin (South Carolina).
Lucy Nunn won the sudden-death play-off at the second extra hole.

SCOTT CARMICHAEL TIED 22nd AT PELICAN BAY
Baberton GC member Scott Carmichael, a student at Johnson & Wales University-Florida, tied for 22nd place with Craig Isabel (Webber International) from Stanford Le Hope on 230 in the 20th Eagle Invitational college tournament at Pelican Bay Country Club, Dayton Beach in Florida.
John Pannone (South Carolina-Beaufort) headed a field of 79 players with scores of 73, 70 and 75 for a total of 218.
Team-mate Reed Howard, with rounds of 71, 73 and 76 f inished second on 220.
