Anna Scott (4th) helps Georgia State

win Colonial team title by a single shot

Anna Scott (Georgia State) from Consett, Co Durham finished fourth, only three strokes behind the winner in the Colonial Athletic Association's women's championship at Callaway Gardens Golf Club, Pine Mountain.
Anna, pictured right, had rounds of 74, 77 and 71 for a total of 222 over the par-70, 6030yd course in Georgia.
Winner was Carmen Perez-Narbon (North Carolina-Wilmington) with scores of 73, 72 and 74 for 219.
Irish student Emma Gilmore (Old Dominion) came joint 22nd with rounds of 80, 81 and 75 for a total of 236.
Team-mate and compatriot Laura Holmes finished 43rd on 254 with scores of 84, 86 and 84.
Anna Scott's effort helped Georgia State win the team event by a single shot from North-Carolina Wilmington. Old Dominion finished ninth of 10 teams.
