Carley Warrington wins Conference
Carolinas women's championship
Carley Warrington from Bradwell, Derbyshire - a junior (third year) student at Belmont Abbey College, North Carolina - has won her second tournament of the spring semester on the American women's college circuit.
This one was for the Conference Carolinas women's championship, hosted by Belmont Abbey College over the Tanglewood Park championship course (par 72, 5834yd).
In tough conditions of wind and rain, Carley, pictured above, a member of Sickleholme Golf Club, put together rounds of 82, 73 and 77 for a total of 232.
Runner-up, two shots behind, was Northern Ireland's Charlene Reid (Pfeiffer Universty) from Antrim with rounds fo 76, 81 and 77 for 234.
Lina Elmstater (Pfeiffer) finished third with scores of 78, 84 and 81 for 237.
Pfeiffer won the team title with a total of 958, nine ahead of Belmont Abbey in the six-team field.
