Top seed Mary Lou now plays conqueror

Top seed Mary Lou Renton (Gifford), who has never won the title, is through to Tuesday morning's semi-finals of the East Lothian women's county golf championship over the Gullane No 2 course.
After wins over two North Berwick players, Barbara Biggart and Dawn Young, Mary Lou now plays home-course player Line Mortensen who knocked out the defending champion Ruth Carroll (Musselburgh Old) by 4 and 3 in the first round.
The other semi-final features Jayne Smith (Gifford), champion in 2001 and 2003, against Emma Fairnie (Dunbar), beaten finalist in 2006 and 2007.
Beryl Morris and Ann McIntosh will meet in the final of the Handicap Quaich.
