Harriet's late surge takes

her into second place in

Ivy League Championship

Harriet Owers-Bradley from Nottingham, pictured, a student at Yale University, finished runner-up to Susannah Aboff (Princeton) in a field of 35 players for the Ivy League Women's Championship at Atlantic City Country Club, Northfield in New Jersey.
Harriet's third and final round of 70 was the best by anyone in the championship but earlier rounds of 78 and 76 meant she had left herself too much ground to make up.
Her total of 224 over the par-72, 6131yd course left her five shots behind Susannah Aboff who scores 72, 75 and 72 for three-over-par 219.
Claire Sheldon (Harvard) finished third on 224 with scores of 77, 73 and 75.
Harvard (904) won the team event ahead of Yale (906) with Princeton (909) third in the field of seven teams.

Hannah Burke 23rd in Big 12 Championship

Vagliano Trophy team place contender Hannah Burke from Hertfordshire, a student at Baylor University, Texas, never really got going in the Big 12 Women's Championship over the Rawls Course at Lubbock, Texas.
Judging by the scores, the Texas winds had been howling!
Hannah had scores of 80, 79 and 78 for a total of 237 over a long ladies' course - 6564yd with a par of 72 - and she tied for 23rd place in a field of 60 players behind the joint winners, Ashley Freeman (Texas A&M) and Kendall Dye (Oklahoma)
Even Ashley and Kendall were nine-over-par for the tournament, Ashley scoring 72, 73 and 80 and Kendall 76, 73 and 76.
Another English student, Ami Storey from Ponteland in the North-east, finished joint 20th with scores of 78, 77 and 81 for 236.
Oklahoma State (909) won the team title from Texas A&M (922) with Oklahoma (938) third. Baylor (950) finished fifth of seven.

Gemma Webster 25th in Big Ten Championship

Former Scotland international Gemma Webster from Glasgow, coming up to the end of her four years at Ohio State University, finished joint 25th in a field of 66 for the Big Ten Women's Championship over 72 holes at the Kampen Course (6333yd, par 72) at West Lafayette.
Hilton Park GC member Gemma scored 86, 75, 81 and 79 for 321.
Joint winners on the nine-over-par 297 mark were Purdue University team-mates, Spain's Maria Hernandez (Purdue) and Canada's Maude Aimee Leblanc.
Maria scored 79, 72, 71 and 75; Maude had 75, 75, 70 and 77.
Purdue (1209) won the team championship from Michigan State (1252) with Ohio State (1259) third in a field of 11 teams.
