Rachel Connor withdraws from "Helen Holm"
Rachel Connor, daughter of the Scottish-born Manchester Golf Club professional, withdrew from the remainder of the Helen Holm Scottish women's open amateur stroke-play championship at Troon this morning.
She is suffering from a sore back, which probably explains why she returned an 83 over Troon Portland in yesterday's first round.
The leading 66 players and ties after today's second round over Troon Portland will qualify for the final 18 holes over Royal Troon on Sunday. That means in the region of 24 players will be eliminated.
