St Andrews University's team of five were simply outclassed in the United States Intercollegiate golf tournament over the Stanford University golf course, California at the weekend.
Competing against some of the very best US college circuit players, the Scots' highest placed finisher in a field of 92 was John Corke who came 79th with scores of 79, 75 and 74 for an 18-over-par total of 228 over the 6,742yd course where Tiger Woods - and Mhairi McKay - played their home university golf.
Cameron Gray scored 75, 74 and 83 for finish joint 82nd on 232, one shot ahead of Mike Gray who shared 85th place with scores of 76, 75 and 82.
