Bathgate's Mhairi Hall is leading Stirlingshire

qualifier for match-play stages at Linlithgow

In the absence of former Curtis Cup player Alison Davidson (Stirling), who was unable to defend the title, the “winner” of tonight’s Stirlingshire women’s county golf championship qualifying round at Linlithgow Golf Club was Mhairi Hall (Bathgate).
Mhairi headed the 16 qualifiers for the match-play stages, which start on Sunday afternoon at 2pm, with a 78 against the CSS of 74 (reduction only).
Two juniors, Helen Goodwin (Glenbervie) and Judy Shields (Dunblane) made it through.
Helen’s mother Elizabeth, also a member at Glenbervie, was also among the match-play qualifiers.
