Holly Clyburn leads EWGA
Order of Merit
NEWS RELEASE ISSUED BY ENGLISH WOMEN'S GOLF ASSOCIATION
Girl international Holly Clyburn has taken the lead in the English Women’s Golf Association order of merit, sponsored by the golf holiday company Lorrin Golf.
The 18-year-old, pictured right by Cal Carson Golf Agency at the "Helen Holm" tournament, has moved into the top spot, thanks to her fourth-place finish in the Welsh open stroke-play championship at Royal Porthcawl. Holly, from Woodhall Spa in Lincolnshire, has also amassed points from Florida’s early-season Orange Blossom Tour, from the Formby Leveret and the Helen Holm Scottish open stroke-play championship.
Her points total pushes her ahead of Yorkshire’s Emma Brown (Malton & Norton) who was third in the "Helen Holm."
Teenage international Rachel Connor (Manchester) currently holds third place in the table, helped by an excellent start to her season on the Orange Blossom Tour.
Another international, Rachel Jennings (Izaak Walton) is fourth, following her finish as runner-up in the Welsh strokeplay.
Lorrin Golf is a golf tour operator arranging golf holidays to premier resorts throughout Europe, USA, Caribbean, Dubai and Thailand. The company also runs a leading golf academy in St Andrews, Scotland. http://www.lorringgolf.com/
