Jade beats Paula in Ladies German Open play-off

France’s Jade Schaeffer won the HypoVereinsbank Ladies German Open, presented by Audi, today for her first Ladies European Tour victory. The 22-year-old from Strasbourg, who recently moved to Paris, beat Spain’s Paula Marti with a birdie at the first extra hole.
Musselburgh's Vikki Laing had a good last round, a three-under-par 69, for a joint 25th place on 286.
Dunblane's Lynn Kenny (Archerfield Links) signed off with a disappinting 76 for joint 54th place on 292.
Krystle Caithness from Cupar in Fife, closed with a 74 - her worst round of the four, for a share of 46th place on 290.
The biggest disappointment of all was the weekend form of Claire Queen (The Carrick at Cameron House). Her last two rounds were 76 and 78 for a total of 10 over par 298 and a share of 64th place, the last of those who made the halfway cut.
Clare had no birdies at all over the final 36 holes and had a double bogey 6 a the 10th hole today.
