Katherine O'Connor wins Frilford

Heath Scratch Salver by NINE

Welsh international player Katherine O'Connor "blew away" the field to win the Frilford Heath Scratch Salver by the runaway margin of NINE strokes.
Katherine, a Tadmarton Heath Golf Club member with +1 of a handicap, returned a six-under par total over the par 73 Red Course with rounds of 69 and 71. The CSS was 74 and 73 for the 36-hole tournament.
Runner-ups on 149 were Danielle Gibb (Rochester & Cobham) with rounds of 77 and 72 and host club player Jane Binning with 75 and 74.
Hannah Barwood (Knowle), last year's English champion, was fourth on 150 with a pair of 75s.
