Carol Muir beats Jane Yellowlees

in Perth & Kinross final

Craigie Hill player Carol Muir, the No 4 seed, won the Perth & Kinross women's county golf championship for the first time at Strathmore Golf Centre today.

Carole beat twice former champion Jane Yellowlees (Murrayshall) by one hole after being two down on the 15th tee. She won the 16th, 17th and 18th for victory.

In the morning semi-finals, Yellowlees beat the defending champion, Laura Walker (Muckhart) by 3 and 2 while Muir beat the county captain, Dawn Butchart (Strathmore) by 5 and 4.

The handicap championship was won by Sandra Service (Alyth) who beat Barbara Lyburn (Blairgowrie) 3 and 2 in the final.
