Stephanie Meadow shot a final round of three-under-par 69 to win the International Junior Golf Tour's JGT Tournament of Champions' girls' division at Grand Cypress Resort, Orlando, Florida.
The 17-year-old from Antrim, Northern Ireland, began the day with a five-shot lead and cruised to an eight-shot victory with six birdies on her card.
Meadow, pictured with the championship trophy, who began her round on No. 10, turned in 1-under 35 and closed with three birdies and a lone bogey to shoot 2-under 34 on the back nine. She finished at 4-under 212.
“I think the North/South course is harder as a course so I think the 69 on the North/South was probably a better score,” she said.
“The New Course was very open, and I didn’t hit it as well as what I did yesterday, so I think the 69 on the second day was definitely my biggest.”
Despite three three-putts in Monday’s round, Meadow, ranked 38th in the Golfweek/Titleist Junior Rankings, said she maintained her focus throughout the final round.
“I just kept going,” said Meadow.
Irene Jung took second in the 30-player field with a score of 220.
