Strong field for St Rule Trophy

includes Down Under aces

Former world universities champion Danielle McVeigh (Royal County Down), fifth in the "Helen Holm" and then winner of the Welsh open stroke-play championship, is in a strong field for the St Rule Trophy at St Andrews on Saturday-Sunday, May 30-31.
The overseas challenge is headed by Caroline Bon from Northland, New Zealand and Stacey Keating, Victoria, Australia, two of the leading players from Down Under.
Stacey was beaten in the final of the Australian women's open amateur championship last year but went on to score her biggest international win - the Royal Canadian women's open amateur title at Winnipeg.

Kylie Walker (Buchanan Castle) is defending the title.
