RENFREWSHIRE FAVOURITES TO RETAIN

WEST TITLE AND TICKET TO BABERTON

Vagliano Trophy team selections Pamela Pretswell and Kylie Walker have
withdrawn from the Lanarkshire and Dunbartonshire & Argyll teams
repectively for the three-day West Division women's inter-county team
golf championship, teeing off at Strathaven Golf Club tomorrow.
Renfrewshire are the defending champions. They went on to finish
runners-up to Fife in last year's Scottish county finals at Inchmarlo.
With the Scottish champion, Megan Briggs, and her talented younger
sister Eilidh in their ranks, Renfrewshire will start favourites again
to win the West title and a place in this year's Scottish county finals
at Baberton Golf Club,Edinburgh from September 18 to 20.
