Paul Ferrier finishes jt 35th

in The Gopher Invitational


Charlotte University student Paul Ferrier, the 2007 Scottish boys' match-play champion and Baberton Golf Club member, finished joint 35th in a field of 72 players at The Gopher Invitational over a par-72, 7,020yd course at Spring Hill Golf Club.
Ferrier, pictured right, shot rounds of 78, 72 and 75 for a total of nine-over-par 225.
The winner, Kelly Kraft (Southern Methodist), turned in an astonishing performance to win by eight strokes.
He had rounds of 67, 70 and eight-under-par 64 which blew away his challengers, for a 15-under-par total of 201
Ben Pisani (Minnesota) was runner-up on 209 with scores of 65, 71 and 73.
SMU (855) won the team title from Arkansas (865), Minnesota (870) and Charlotte (875) in a field of 12.
