MICHAEL STEWART'S SUB-PAR TOTAL
EARNS HIM ONLY JT 22ND IN FLORIDA

Michael Stewart, last year's Scottish boys' match-play champion from Troon, finished joint 22nd in a field of 81 players at the past weekend's Gary Koch intercollegiate tournament at Old Memorial Golf Club, Tampa in Florida.
Stewart, pictured right, a sophomore (second year) student at East Tennessee State University, had rounds of 73, 69 and 72 for a total of two-under-par 214, good scoring over a long course of 7,389yd with a par of 72.
He finished l3 shots behind the winner, Kyle Kopsick (Auburn University) who followed up an opening 72 with brilliant rounds of 63 and 66 for a 15-under-par total of 201 and a two-stroke victory.
Welshman Rhys Enoch, a team-mate of Stewart's at East Tennessee State University, tied for 10th place with scores of 71, 72 and 68 for 211.
East Tennessee State finished 12th of 15 in the team event behind winners Florida State
