Sammy has 86 in Eat a Peach Collegiate

Sammy Vass from Tain, a freshman student at the University of Central Florida, had a birdie-less first round of 86, 14 over par for the 6181yd course, in the quaintly-named Eat a Peach Collegiate women's tournament at the even more quaintly-named Idle Hour Club, Macon in Georgia.
Sammy, who had halves of 44 and 42 without any double bogeys, is again playing as an individual rather than a member of the UCF team of five.
Another freshman from Britain in the field of 66, Ellie Robinson from Middlesbrough, now at the University of Georgia State, had an 80 for joint 47th position. Ellie had a triple bogey 8 at the fifth in halves of 42 and 38. She did birdie the long 17th.
Marta Silva Zamora (Georgia) leads the field with an excellent two-under-par 70.
Florida State (288) lead the team event ahead of Coastal Carolina (297) and Georgia (298). UCF are in joint sixth place with a tally of 307.
