Tom Rennie from Deeside joint 16th at

Deeside Golf Club member Tom Rennie, a second-year student at Brevard College, North Carolina achieved a top-20 finished in the SMC Invitational men's college golf tournament at Links O'Tryon, Campobello, South Carolina earlier this week.
Tom, pictured right, had rounds of 77 and 79 for a total of 156 over the par-72, 6877yd course.
He finished joint 16th in a field of 49 players behind the two-shot winner Chad Skinner (Mars Hill College) who had a pair of 72s for 144.
Stuart Ballingall makes top 20 at Notre Dame
Anglo-Scot Stuart Ballingall, whose family live at Norwich, is a freshman student at Missouri University. He finished joint 17th in a field of 84 players at the Fighting Irish Classic Notre Dame University's Warren course at South Bend, Indiana.
Notre Dame students' collective nickname is the Fighting Irish.
Ballingall had rounds of 74, 77 and 69 for a total of 220 over the 7,023yd course which has a tough-to-match par of 70.
The winner by three shots was host university player Josh Sandman (Notre Dame) with scores of 70, 68 and 74 for 212.
Gavin Hay down the field in Cougar Invitational
Gavin Hay from Glasgow, a student at Carson-Newman University, Tennessee, finished joint 88th in a field of 105 players for the Cougar Invitational college tournament at Green Island County Club, Columbus in Georgia.
Gavin had rounds of 78 and 75 for a total of 153 - 16 shots behiind the winner, Craig Gibson (Georgia Southwestern) who had rounds of 72 and 65 for 137.
Gavin's team-mate Liam Ashby from Dublin, a sophomore student at Carson-Newman, scored 71 and 72 for 143 and finished joint 16th.
