Gemma Dryburgh fourth in Florida FCWT event

Florida-based Aberdeen girl Gemma Dryburgh finished fourth in a field of 26 playeres for the Future Collegians World Tour's Mission Inn Challenge girls' tournament at Mission Inn, Howey-in-the-Hills, north of Orlando, Florida at the weekend.
Gemma was lying joint second with a 76, only one shot off the pace, after the first round but a second-round 81 saw her finish on 157, seven shots behind the winner, Audrey Monssoh (Los Angeles) with scores of 76 and 74.
Gemma's father, Aberdeen businessman John Dryburgh, reports:
"Unfortunately Florida was hit with the tail of the weather that produced record snow falls across the east coast of America and the girls played in conditions found more akin to Britain than Florida.
"Gemma's 76 on Saturday was good golf in the conditions .Unfortunately her start from the 10th on Sunday was not what she was looking for and she finished with an 81.
"Although she is still waiting for her first win on the tour she is finishing consistently in the top fifth and is now sitting 4th in the Laura Diaz FCWT season rankings."
LEADING FINAL TOTALS

152 Isabel Southard (Massachusetts) 75 77.
153 Katerina Krasova (Czech Republic) 79 74.
