LGU looking for new Chairman
The Ladies' Golf Union is seeking to appoint a Chairman of the Executive Council and the Board of the subsidiary company, LGU Championships Limited, for a period of almost three years from April 2010 to February 2013.
Founded in 1893, the LGU is the encompassing body for ladies’ amateur golf in Great Britain and Ireland.
The LGU has undertaken a review of its structure and governance arrangements and the changes recommended by the Executive Council were approved at the Annual General Meeting in Cardiff in January 2010.
One of the next steps in the reorganisation outlined by CEO, Shona Malcolm, at the Cardiff AGM, is the recruitment of an independent Chairman.
The LGU has published a detailed specification of the position and invites suitably qualified individuals to apply before 1 March 2010.
