NEWS RELEASE
Long-hitting rookie professional Kylie Walker, a Buchanan Castle Golf Club member as an amateur, has signed up with The Carrick on Loch Lomond golf course management and will represent the club and the course on the Ladies European Tour.
Ross Whitfield, Director of Golf and Estates Cameron House Resort, commented, “It is great to have Kylie associated with The Carrick on Loch Lomond. Kylie has a fine pedigree from her superb amateur career and we are all excited to see how her career transpires. I know she will fit right in at the Carrick with members, visitors and staff alike and will be a worthy ambassador for the club on her travels throughout Europe.”
The Carrick’s reputation has evolved rapidly since its opening in 2006. Not only is it considered one of the finest golf courses in the UK, but also offers the world-class accommodation of the Cameron House Hotel. Both sit proudly on the banks of the famous Loch Lomond and offer up not only some of the finest views anywhere in golf, but also unrivalled levels of quality and service.
Said Kylie Walker:
“The golf course is one of the finest new golf courses and is a great facility to be part of. The course itself is challenging and provides a varied test that will help keep my game in tournament condition when not competing. Coupled with some of the most inspired views I have ever seen and I am thoroughly looking forward to spending time at The Carrick on Loch Lomond."
The facility has a rich pedigree in its young history having played host to some world class golf events in recent years that include the Ladies Scottish Open and the PGA Cup. With plans for further initiatives in the coming months and years, The Carrick will continue to establish itself as one of the finest facilities for golf and leisure in the UK.
Kylie Walker joins 1999 Open champion Paul Lawrie and former British girls champion Clare Queen as members of the Carrick Tour Team.
