Two Scottish-based schoolgirls will start the second round of the Ladies European Tour's German Ladies Open in Munich in the top 20.
Rookie Carly Booth, 17, pictured right, from Comrie but still a pupil at Glenalmond School, birdied three of the last four holes on the card for a two-under-par 70 and joint seventh place, three shots behind leader Iben Tinning (Denmark).
Loretto Golf Academy, Musselburgh pupil Julie Yang, a 14-year-old amateur covered the last 10 holes in three under par with three birdies and seven pars for a 71 which gave her joint 18th place. Yang was pipped for the German women's amateur title on Sunday, having been the youngest ever winner of the Welsh women's open amateur championship the previous weekend.,
Fifer Krystle Caithness and Musselburgh's Vikki Laing had 74s to share 56th place. Krystle had a double bogey 7 at the long 11th while Vikki had only one birdie, at the first.
Lynn Kenny ran up a double bogey 7 at the 18th, having birdied the sixth and seventh, and is joint 90th on 76.
Big-hitting rookie Kylie Walker had a double bogey 7 at the long third and collected only one birdie, at the long fifth, in a 77 for a share of 99th place.
Ayrshire's Pamela Feggans, Clare Queen and Majorca-based Scottish amateur Lauren Macklin are sharing 112th place on 78. Pamela had no birdies while Clare had double bogeys at the sixth, 16th and 18th. Her only birdie came at the 18th but she did birdie the first, fifth, ninth and 10th.
Lauren had a double bogey 6 at the seventh.
