Louise MacGregor wins Stirling & Clackmannan title for first time

Falkirk Golf Club member Louise MacGregor, playing over her home course, won the Stirling & Clackmannan women's county golf championship for the first time tonight.
It was the first time that Louise, the No 2 seed, had ever reach the last stage of the county championship but she showed no sign of nerves in winning by 5 and 4 against the No 8 seed and county captain Linda Allan (Falkirk Tryst).
MacGregor, who celebrated her 21st birthday last week, never looked back after winning the first and third holes for an early two-hole lead. She built steadily on that platform.
Allan, champion in 2006 and playing in the final for the fifth time, never got into the game with a chance.
Result:
Final - Louise MacGregor (Falkirk) bt Linda Allan (Falkirk Tryst) 5 and 4.
