Clare Queen, Vikki Laing and Kylie Walker won't make the cut

More stormy weather as rookie Pernilla leads Slovak Open by one

Sweden's Pernilla Lindberg led by one stroke as the second day's play at the Allianz Ladies Slovak Open was ended early by storms at 7.40pm on Friday.
The second round is scheduled to resume at 6.30am on Saturday subject to the weather, with the third round starting from two tees at 10am in three-balls as the tournament organisers aim to complete four rounds by Sunday evening.
LET Rookie Lindberg, 23, pictured right, from Bollnas in northern Sweden, took advantage of the day’s earlier fine weather conditions to post rounds of 69 and 70 and finish on five under par.
England’s Laura Davies, who won her 74th career title in Germany a fortnight ago, is at six under par in total after 15 holes in her second round. Having made the turn in four under 31, she added a bogey at the 11th and a birdie at the par-five 14th before thunderstorms forced an early finish for the second successive day. There were 52 players still to complete their second rounds.
After finishing, Lindberg said: “I was up at 4.30am this morning and have been playing 30 holes of golf. It was tough and I tried to go in with a good attitude about it. I know this is why I put in a lot of hours in the gym and I try to see it that maybe you have an advantage over some other girls. This is what you practise for and this is what you’re here for.”
Lindberg added that she felt at home at the mountain-side course, which is situated in the Bystrá Valley in the Low Tatras. “I’m from the northern part of Sweden and I said right away when I came to this course that it kind of feels like home. It reminds me of the courses I grew up on and seeing the ski slope on the other side of the clubhouse, it feels like home for sure,” she added.
South African Ashleigh Simon and first round co-leader Iben Tinning from Denmark finished at four-under after second rounds of 70 and 72 respectively, with Sweden’s Linda Wessberg, also tied for the lead after the first round, level with Simon and Tinning at four-under after 15 holes.
Zuzana Kamasova, the only Slovakian professional in the field, shot successive rounds of 74 to finish at four-over-par and looked likely to make the cut, playing at the inaugural tournament on her home course.
Finland’s Hanna-Leena Salonen fired a hole-in-one at the tricky 157-yard fifth with a five-iron but unfortunately, there was no official prize. She would have won a Skoda Yeti car had she aced the 17th hole.
