Ayrshire give county debuts to Mhairi McKay and Linzi Allan
The Ayrshire Ladies County Golf Association have announced the team of eight players who will represent the county in the West Of Scotland Inter County Matches from Monday 14th to Wednesday 16th June at Kilmacolm Golf Club.
County champion Lesley Hendry (Largs Routenburn) is joined by 2010 beaten finalist Rachael McQueen (Troon Ladies) and former county and West Of Scotland title holder Catherine Malcolm (Prestwick St. Nicholas).
Debbie Watt (Belleisle Ladies), Lesley Barker (nee Williamson) (Kilmarnock Barassie) and former county champion Morag Macpherson (Troon Ladies) will bring further experience to the side which will include two new faces in Mhairi McKay (West Kilbride) and Linzi Allan (Kilbirnie Place), who is back home after a succesful season on the US college circuit.
The team will be playing against Dumbarton & Argyll, Renfrewshire and Lanarkshire over the three days, for a place in the Scottish county finals at Bothwell Castle Golf Club in September.
