Angus v Northern Counties title decider at Blairgowrie
Northern Counties, the divisional title holders and Scottish champions, meet Angus in the title decider in Monday's final matches of the North Division women's inter-county team golf championship at Blairgowrie.
Northern Counties were held to a 4 1/2-4 1/2 draw by Aberdeenshire on Saturday but beat Perth and Kinross 5-4 today with the one-point lead they gained in the morning foursomes before the afternoon singles were shared 3-3.
Angus scored a 7-2 opening day win over Perth and Kinross, winning five of their points in the singles and then ended Aberdeenshire's title hopes by beating them 5 1/2-3 1/2 today.
Two wins from two matches has Angus at the top of the table ahead of Northern Counties' one win and one draw record. That means that Angus need only a draw in the title decider to earn the right to be the North Division representatives in the Scottish county finals at Bothwell Castle GC from September 17 to 19.
