Robert and Marisol win age groups at US Kids Golf European championships

Robert Prior, representing the UK, and an Italian girl Marisol Doglioli won the oldest age groups in the US Kids Golf European Championship in East Lothian this week
Prior closed with a 69 over Gullane No.2 to win the boys' 15-18 event with a 54-hole aggregate of 214, beating Tom Bayliss, the overnight leader, by three shots.
Bayliss, who had a 74 in his final round, finished a shot off Jamie Savage, who made ADVERTISEMENT it a UK one-two-three as he signed off with a 72.
Also playing on Gullane No.2, Doglioli closed with a 77 for a total of 226, giving her a six-shot winning margin over Alexandra Noeuveglise of France.
In the other girls' events, the winners were:
Eight years and under: Emilie Alba Paltrinieri (Italy).
Under nine years: Woo-ju Son (South Africa).
Under 10 years: Samantha Fuller (UK).
Under 11 years: Monet Flores (Guatemala).
Under 12 years: Eloise Healey (UK).
Under 13 years: Annabel Dimmock (UK).
Under 14 years: Maria Vittora Cantarini (Italy).
The other boys' winners were: seven and under: Wolfgang Glawe (Germany); Under eights: Digraj Gill (USA); Under nines: David Larvaron (France); Under tens: Matyáš Zapletal (Czech Republic); Under 12s: Dominic Philipp Foos (Germany); Under 13s: Robert Macintyre (UK) and Michael Hirmer (Germany); Under 14s: Simon Zach (Czech Republic) and Frank Olav Garber (USA).
The event concluded today with the staging of the Van Horn Cup, a Ryder Cup-style match, over Gullane No.1.
