Ladies needed for Aberdeen Quaich tournament

The Aberdeen Quaich three-day tournament - Friday to Sunday, August 6 to 8 - at Hazlehead municipal golf course needs a minimum of 16 entries for the ladies' section to go ahead.
The stroke-play qualifying round over the No 1 course is on the Friday. The match--play stages start on the Saturday.
The only female entries (all Hazlehead GC members) received so far, and their tee times, are:
10.30 Joan Hutcheon (handicap 16), Lena Ingram (19).
11.02 Michelle Finnie (10), Susan Taylor (16).
11.10 Fiona Prouse (9), Claire Prouse (5).
The entry fee for women is £15.
The entry fee for men is £20 and the entry fee for juniors (three-round stroke-play event is £10.

Entries can be phoned to Hazlehead Golf Club (01224 310711) during bar hours, but not on Mondays when the clubhouse is closed.
