Laura Grant beats Amy Farrell in Irish girls championship final

Laura Grant (Lisburn) beat Amy Farrell (Moate) by 3 and 2 to win the Lancome Irish Girls Close Championship at Grange Golf Club today.
Laura was two up at the turn and three ahead after 13 holes. Amy birdied the 14th to raise her hopes but the match finished when Laura won the 16th.
In the sem-finals, Amy Farrell had beaten Emma O'Driscoll (Ballybunion) by two holes whle Laura Grant beat Sinead Sexton (Lahinch) at the 19th.
Amy Chambers (Dunfanaghy) beat Jenny Hennessy (Ennis) by one hole in the Plate Final for the Pat Fletcher Trophy.
In the morning semi-finals, Amy beat Rebecca Tully (Holywood) 4 and 3 while Jenny bt Holly Robinson (Co Sligo) by one hole.
