Julie Yang (Kings Acre) shares lead in Denmark's high winds
Scottish schoolgirls champion - and winner of the Welsh women's open stroke-play title earlier in the season - Julie Yang, playing out of Kings Acre Golf Centre, near Edinburgh is sharing the lead after the opening round of the Danish women's amateur international championship at Silkeborg Golf Club.
The winds that forced a suspension of play on the Scottish side of the North Sea also affected Denmark on the other side of the water and the tough golfing conditions were reflected in the scoring.
Julie had a six-over-par 78 but that was good enough to figure in a three-way tie for the first-day lead with two Danes, Jeanette Petersen and Sara Madsen.
They lead by one shot from two other Danes, Daisy Nielsen and Rikki Falsund.
The tournament is over 72 holes. The second and third rounds will be played on Saturday, at the end of which there will be a cut to the leading 12 players and ties who will go on to Sunday's final round.

She leads by four shots from a Dutch player, Ileen Nieuwenhuis (69-71-70) but there is a gap of another eight strokes before you come to the third player, Alicia Good (Belgium) with scores of 72, 73 and 73 for 218.
The cut fell at 232 or better and the two Scots in the field were eliminated.
Gillian Monteith (Portpatrick Dunskiey) totalled 235 wth rounds of 76,80 and 79.
Susan Jackson (Ladybank) had a total of 240 with scores of 86, 79 and 75.
