SLGA SUMMARY OF TODAY'S PLAY
There were a lot of close matches on a day when the weather was as changeable as the scorelines. Three of the four afternoon quarter-finals reached the 18th green with only Fiona de Vries shortening her day with a win on the 17th.
Moira Thomson was one up after the first hole in her match against Jill Harrison (Cruden Bay) but then lost the second and was never ahead from then until she won the first extra hole for a 19th hole victory.
Pamela Williamson (Baberton) had a chance to square her match against Lorna Bennett at the 18th but her 5ft par putt to win the hole just missed.
