BAD WEATHER HITS FIFE WOMEN'S

COUNTY GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP AGAIN

Bad weather hit the Fife women's county championship today for a second time this summer.
The qualifying round had to be postponed earlier in the season. The match-play stages began on Saturday over the Craighead links at Crail Golfing Society with the top seeds Louise Kenney (Pitreavie) and Elaine Moffat (St Regulus) winning their way through to the semi-finals.

But play on Sunday had to be postponed because the course was unplayable. Saturday, September 18 is the provisional date for the championship to be completed and Dunfermline Golf Club is a possible alternative venue.
