The next two matches between the sides were halved before Shannon Heerey secured the point for Leinster. Orla Quinn gained a consolation win for Connacht at the tail of the field.
Lahinch’s Sinead Sexton gave Munster the ideal start, winning the top match against Megan Thompson. In the match of the morning between two current internationals who were both under par for their rounds, Castletroy’s Chloe Ryan defeated Holywood’s Jessica Carty on the home green to give Munster the early advantage.
Ulster, however, with great strength in depth went on the win the next six matches and remain favourites for the title.
ROUND 2 REPORT
In the afternoon contest between Munster and Leinster, the top match was halved before Patrice Delaney of Leinster recorded a 4 and 3 win against Eadaoin Cronin. Munster's Chloe Ryan had a great contest with current International Amy Farrell before the match was halved on the 18th and Gemma Hennessy and Emily McGuinness duly followed suit. With the tie finely balanced there was strength in the Leinster tail with Amber Gleeson, Shannon Heerey and Laura Doherty all recording impressive wins against their Munster counterparts to give Leinster the overall point.
