KELSEY FALLS OUT
OF LEAD IN BELGIUM
Scottish women's champion Kelsey MacDonald, the two-shot leader at halfway, now has three strokes to make up on the new pacemaker over the final round of the girls' championship in the Belgian international junior golf tournament at Royal Golf Club of Belgium, near Brussels.
The 19-year-old Nairn Dunbar player, pictured, playing in the event for the fourth and last time, had one of her poorer rounds over a course she knows so well.
MacDonald had only one birdie, at the 16th, to offset against seven birdies and finished the round in 78 for a three-round tally of 223.
Leading the field is Spain's Natalia Escuriola who had a par-matching 72 for 220 to lead by two from Italy's Federica Maria Costantini (70-222).
Lesley Atkins (Gullane Ladies) just cannot find the form that won her the Scottish girls' championship at the age of 15 this past summer. She has had rounds of 89, 89 and 90 for 268.
Neither of the Scottish boys, Liam Johnston (Dumfries and Co) and Jack McDonald (Kilmarnock Barassie), is in contention with a round to go.
Johnston had a 74 for 223 and is in joint 21st place, 14 shots behind the five-stroke leader, Yannick Bludau (Germany).
McDonald scored 78 for a share of 23rd place on 225.
